Craig Halsey is a founding partner and CEO of CJ2 Consulting, Inc. His leadership has enabled CJ2 to grow quickly into a multi-million dollar company, earning its reputation as a firm that helps companies win and deliver new business. Craig, along with partner Joe Freburger, has lead CJ2’s growth and operations with zero outside investment, generating capital solely through internal operating cash flow. Since founding CJ2 with Mr. Freburger in 2007, Craig has directed the firm’s corporate development, financial operations, and account development, while building an impressive client base.
Prior to founding CJ2, Craig spent two decades in executive roles at HP and Lockheed Martin, helping both companies build their information and enterprise services businesses. During this period, Craig established himself as an industry leader and recognized expert in information technology outsourcing (ITO).
At HP, Craig was recruited as a senior member of the worldwide managed services team, leading and winning global sourcing engagements. Subsequent to his outstanding performance leading global deals, Craig was selected as the first director of HP’s strategic sourcing practice in the federal sector. Under his leadership, HP experienced unprecedented success in the government marketplace, closing business valued at more than half a billion dollars in 18 months.
Craig’s career at Lockheed Martin was distinguished with tremendous accomplishment. His work, recognized for excellence consistently in industry and within the corporation, resulted in the establishment of Lockheed Martin’s commercial IT group as an industry leader. From leading business and financial capture strategy of the government’s largest IT outsourcing engagement to managing the business operations of units generating revenue in excess of $150M/year, Craig’s contribution to Lockheed Martin was one of producing accelerated profitable growth for the corporation. During one three-year period, he closed $1.5 billion in new business for an operating unit that was then a new entrant in the commercial IT marketplace.
Craig leverages a broad background of experience and expertise, having held executive-level positions in pricing, finance, business operations, business development, sales, and general management.
